"Fast and Furious 9" officially released today, domestic box office exceeded 200 million

The movie "Fast & Furious 9", directed by Justin Lin and starring Vin Diesel, with John Cena joining the cast, was officially released in China today. The pre-sale box office (including previews) in mainland China has exceeded 200 million yuan.

At the press conference, Vin Diesel, the lead actor, revealed that Fast & Furious 10 will be divided into two parts as the final chapter of the series, and both films will still be directed by Justin Lin. Some scenes will be shot in China. He also revealed that earlier this year, they asked Universal to do something they had never done before - to let Fast & Furious 9 be released in China first, more than a month earlier than in the United States. "This is also our way of saying 'thank you China'."

Zhao Xina (John Cena), who plays the villain in the movie, spoke Chinese throughout the press conference. He said that he likes Lao Gan Ma very much and his favorite city is Beijing.

Previously, the highest box office in the series was "Fast & Furious 8" with 2.67 billion, and "Fast & Furious 7" with 2.42 billion. The spin-off "Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw" earned 1.43 billion. "Fast & Furious 9" is expected to earn more than 2 billion at the domestic box office.
