Shen Teng and Ma Li's highest-grossing film! "Catching Dolls" enters the top 20 in Chinese film history

According to statistics from Lighthouse Professional Edition, the box office of the movie "Catching Dolls" has exceeded 3.103 billion yuan.

This figure not only surpassed "The Lone Moon", but also made the film the highest-grossing collaboration between Shen Teng and Ma Li, and successfully entered the TOP20 of the Chinese film history box office list.

"Catching Dolls" is co-directed by Yan Fei and Peng Damo, and co-written by them and Lin Bingbao. The film stars Shen Teng and Ma Li, and premiered in mainland China on July 16, 2024.

The film is set in Xihong City and tells the story of the wealthy couple Ma Chenggang and Chunlan, who choose to hide their true wealth and adopt non-traditional parenting methods in order to train their son Ma Jiye to become a qualified family successor.

Analysts pointed out that "Catching Dolls" profoundly reveals the cruelty and complexity of the field of education through the clever combination of humor and tragedy. The film not only satirizes the educational problems under the deeply rooted concept of "wanting children to be successful", but also puts forward some educational thoughts that keep pace with the times, which resonates with and inspires deep thought among the audience.
