Pierce Brosnan to play Doctor Fate in Black Adam

According to IGN and other foreign media reports, Pierce Brosnan, the creator of the classic 007 image, will star in DC's new film "Black Adam", in which he will play "Doctor Fate". This is also Pierce Brosnan's first time appearing in a superhero movie.

Doctor Fate is a powerful figure in the comics. He is a veteran of the Justice Society of America, one of the most powerful magicians in the DC Universe, and the owner of the Naboo Helmet. He is the son of an archaeologist, who has learned magic and obtained the Helmet of Fate and the Amulet bestowed by the God of Naboo. His abilities include super strength and speed, telepathy, flight, foreknowledge of danger, immortality, invisibility, time travel, and illusion creation.

The movie "Black Adam" is directed by Jaume Serra, the director of "Orphan". "The Rock" Johnson plays Black Adam, Pierce Brosnan plays Doctor Fate, Aldis Hodge plays Hawkman, Noah Centineo plays Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi plays a university professor & freedom fighter who leads the resistance organization in Black Adam's hometown of Khandak, Quintessa Swindell plays Cyclone, and Marwan Kenzari plays an undisclosed role. Filming started in April this year and will be released on December 22, 2021.
