Recently, Disney signed an exclusive five-year cooperation agreement with Proximity Media, the company of Ryan Coogler, the director of "Black Panther". The first work is the "Wakanda" spin-off series of "Black Panther". The agreement also enables Proximity to develop TV series for other departments of Disney. The new series "Wakanda" will focus on the Kingdom of Wakanda, and the plot has not yet been released. Wakanda in the film appears to be poor and isolated, but in fact it has world-leading high technology and a large amount of rare metal "vibranium", and also retains ancient traditions. After the events of the movie "Black Panther", it began to share and communicate with the world. Disney praised Ryan Coogler as an outstanding director. He interpreted a groundbreaking story and iconic characters in a real, meaningful and unforgettable way, and created a watershed cultural moment. We are very happy to strengthen our partnership and look forward to telling more wonderful stories with Ryan's team. The new series "Wakanda" will be the 12th Marvel series to be launched on Disney+. The first "WandaVision" was launched in January, "Falcon and the Winter Soldier" will be launched in March, and "Loki" will be launched in May. Coogler is currently writing the script for the film "Black Panther 2", which is expected to start shooting in July 2021. |
