Puella Magi Madoka Magica is an original TV animation planned by Magica Quartet, directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, written by Gen Urobuchi, and produced by SHAFT. It is the only TV animation that has won the three major awards in Japanese animation at the same time, and is also the most awarded Japanese TV animation in history.
