Andy Lau and Ni Ni star in "Shock Wave 2" scheduled to be released on December 24

Shock Wave 2 released a new trailer and release poster, announcing that it will be released on December 24, becoming the first film to be released during the Lunar New Year. Directed by Herman Yau, produced/starred by Andy Lau, starring Lau Ching Wan and Ni Ni, the film is a sequel to the 2017 film Shock Wave, but tells a different story with new characters.

Plot summary: An explosion occurred somewhere in Hong Kong. Former bomb disposal expert Pan Chengfeng (played by Andy Lau) was suspected by the police of being involved because he was unconscious at the scene. After waking up, Pan Chengfeng had memory loss and could only escape while finding out the truth. However, his good friend Dong Zhuowen (played by Sean Lau) and his ex-girlfriend Pang Ling (played by Ni Ni) told him a completely different memory. Planned explosions occurred one after another, but the truth became more and more confusing...
