Eddie Murphy reveals Shrek 5 and spin-off Shrek the Monsters are in the works

"Shrek the Monsters" is a series of animated films produced by DreamWorks. Although there is also a spin-off "Puss in Boots" series, there has been no new progress on the fifth film since the release of "Shrek 4: The Monsters" in 2010.

Recently, actor Eddie Murphy broke the news to foreign media "Collider", saying that "filming started five months ago", he has completed the first scene of "Shrek 5", and emphasized that "we will finish it this year."

In addition to the new news about the original work, Eddie Murphy also surprisingly revealed that a personal movie for "Shrek the Monsters", one of the popular characters in the movie (also played by Eddie Murphy), is also in the works.
