Netflix's "Japan Sinks" new screenshots released: Seeking hope in disaster

Today (June 12), Netflix officially released some new screenshots of the science fiction animation "Japan Sinks 2020" directed by Masaaki Yuasa. As a Netflix exclusive animation, the animation will premiere on July 9, 2020, so stay tuned.

"Japan Sinks" is a classic science fiction novel published by Sakyo Komatsu in 1973. It has been adapted into movies and animations many times. The new animation "Japan Sinks 2020" will be set in Tokyo just after the 2020 Olympics, telling the adventure story of an ordinary family of four in Tokyo during the crisis of the sinking Japanese archipelago.

"Japan Sinks 2020" will be directed by director Masaaki Yuasa, with a total of 10 episodes scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix on July 9, 2020. AcFun has also confirmed that the work will be exclusively broadcast on AcFun (Mainland China) starting at 18:00 on July 9.
