Cate Blanchett confirmed to play Lilith in Borderlands movie

We have previously reported that Hollywood's famous actress, "Big Devil" Cate Blanchett, is in talks to play the heroine Lilith in the movie version of "Borderlands" . Today (May 29), Lionsgate officially announced that Cate Blanchett will star in the movie "Borderlands" and play the witch Lilith.

The film version of Borderlands is directed by Eli Roth (Hostel), who recently worked with Blanchett on Room to Click. Craig Mazin (Chernobyl, The Hangover) wrote the script, and Lionsgate is producing it. Game company Gearbox Software is also involved in executive production, and Roth promises to create that "wild, fun, and creative game world."

The Borderlands movie has yet to announce a release date.
