Action film "The Eternals" releases poster, Charlize Theron plays an ageless mercenary

Recently, the supernatural action film "The Old Guard", starring Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron and Kiki Laing, released a new poster. In the poster, Theron is in the center, and the other characters are arranged in order, surrounding her. Almost everyone is holding a weapon. Interestingly, the weapons of these people are different, including modern weapons such as guns, as well as cold weapons such as swords.

In the middle of the poster is the logo of the film. The appearance of this hollow logo also adds a sense of mystery and science fiction to the poster. The poster has the slogan of the film: "Eternal life is harder than it looks." It also coincides with the plot of the film. "The Immortal Guard" is adapted from the original comic book by Gray Luca, telling the story of a team of soldiers led by a woman named Andy (played by Theron).

Andy has an inexplicable immortality and has been a mercenary for years. The team is shocked when they discover a new immortal, a black woman serving in the Marine Corps, while an evil organization films their actions. After their super powers are exposed, they must keep fighting to survive.

In recent years, Theron has mostly played strong female protagonist roles, including "Atomic Blonde", "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "Fast & Furious 8". She will next appear in Lionsgate's romantic comedy "The Long Shot" with Seth Rogen, playing the US Secretary of State.

It is reported that "The Eternals" is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, with the original comic author Greg Rucka writing the script. The cast also includes Marwan Kenzari, Matthias Schoenaerts, Luca Marinelli, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Harry Melling, and Vietnamese actress Ngo Thanh Van.

The film will be released on Netflix on July 10, 2020.
