Cameron praised the Resident Evil 1 movie for rewatching it during the epidemic

Cameron revealed in a recent interview that the 2002 game-adapted film "Resident Evil" is one of his favorite "guilty pleasure" movies.

In an interview with Empire, Cameron said he re-watched the Paul Anderson-directed Resident Evil movie during the coronavirus quarantine. He said: "One of my guilty pleasures that I actually think is quite beautiful is Resident Evil."

Cameron also singled out Resident Evil actress Michelle Rodriguez for special praise, saying she would later co-star in Cameron's Avatar. "Watching Michelle Rodriguez in that movie, moving like a wild animal, was a treat."

According to Wikipedia, a "guilty pleasure" is a movie, TV show, or piece of music that someone enjoys very much, even though it is not highly regarded by the general public.

"Resident Evil" released in 2002 was the first "Resident Evil" movie directed by Paul Anderson. The subsequent "Resident Evil 2" and "Resident Evil 3" were directed by different directors. Later "Resident Evil 4", "Resident Evil 5" and "Resident Evil 6" were all directed by Paul Anderson.
