"Deadpool 2" was fined nearly 300,000 yuan for the death of a stuntman, and the crew was held responsible for not wearing a helmet

Due to previous on-set safety accidents, the producer of "Deadpool 2" was recently fined $289,562 (about 2 million yuan). In August 2017, stuntman Joey Harris died in a motorcycle accident during the filming of "Deadpool 2" in Vancouver, and the filming was immediately suspended.

WorkSafeBC, the Canadian Construction Safety Commission, found that the crew violated five provisions of the Workers' Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations during its investigation, including:

•Failure to identify hazards, assess and control risks of work activities and to provide adequate supervision to ensure the health and safety of all workers.

•Failed to ensure stunt performers complied with regulations by wearing safety helmets while operating motorcycles.

•Failed to provide adequate supervision of this work activity to ensure the health and safety of the stunt performers.

•Failure to provide new vocational training to stunt performers.

•Have stuntmen not wear helmets when operating motorcycles.

Prior to joining the cast of Deadpool 2, Harris was the first African-American woman authorized to compete in the American Motorcycle Association.
