Sun Wukong vs. Nezha! 120-frame clip of "Havoc in Heaven" released

Recently, Shanghai Animation Film Studio and OPPO issued a joint statement, announcing the launch of a 120-frame version of "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons". Today (March 13), the official released a 120-frame clip of "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons" lasting more than two minutes.

Shanghai Animation Film Studio said: "The animation clips were recreated this time using the method of 'human-scene co-performance'. The characters, backgrounds, special effects, etc. were all drawn separately, with as many as 40,000 animations. It is a heritage of craftsmanship, a fusion of art and technology, and a new Monkey King."

OPPO said: "We hope to pay tribute to the classics with technology and reproduce the masterpiece. In order to present the 120Hz+10bit effect, we redraw and color all the characters and backgrounds, drawing up to 40,000 layers."

The classic animated film "Havoc in Heaven" is a color animated feature film produced by Shanghai Fine Arts Film Studio from 1961 to 1964, distributed by Les Films de ma Vie (VHS) of France, and co-directed by Wan Laiming and Tang Cheng. The film is in the form of a myth, through the story of Sun Wukong making trouble in the Dragon Palace and rebelling against the Heavenly Palace, it focuses on and highlights the legendary experience of the protagonist Sun Wukong.
