The 39th Hong Kong Film Awards shortlist: "Better Days" received 12 nominations

The 39th Hong Kong Film Awards issued a press release this afternoon (February 12), announcing the shortlist for 19 awards. Among them, "Better Days" directed by Derek Tsang and starring Jackson Yee and Zhou Dongyu received 12 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best New Performer.

The nomination list of the Academy Awards is the so-called "first round of selection" which is made up of half of the votes cast by eligible Academy Awards voters and half by 100 professional judges. The voting rate of this year was 60.63%, which is lower than last year's 66.44%.
