BBC's new year drama "Dracula" is available on mainland platforms and broadcast simultaneously with Netflix

BBC's 2020 opening drama "Dracula" will be exclusively launched on Xigua Video in mainland China on January 4, releasing all 3 episodes at once and broadcasting simultaneously with Netflix worldwide.

The series "Dracula", created by the original production team of "Sherlock" - Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, and producer Sue Weecho, is inspired by the novel of the same name by Irish writer Bram Stoker. It tells the story of the vampire Count Dracula leaving his homeland and embarking on a deadly journey in Victorian Transylvania.

Claes Bang, who starred in the Cannes Film Festival's best film "Liberty Square", plays the role of Count Dracula. The cast includes John Heffernan, Joanna Scanlan, Dolly Wells, Sacha Dhawan and others.

The series will be exclusively launched on Xigua Video in mainland China on January 4. This is also the first time that a video platform in mainland China has broadcast a film and television work simultaneously with Netflix.

In addition to "Dracula", other BBC dramas that will be shown to mainland Chinese audiences this year include "Doctor Who" Season 12 and "Secret No. 9" Season 5.
