Yesterday evening, the official website of China Film Group revealed that "Violet Evergarden Gaiden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll" will be released in mainland China on January 10, 2020. Today (December 27), the official confirmed the news and released a new trailer.

"Violet Evergarden" is a light novel written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase, and published by KA ESUMA Bunko under Kyoto Animation. It was then produced as a TV animation by Kyoto Animation in 2018. The movie "Violet Evergarden Gaiden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll" was released in Japan on September 6, 2019 (another movie originally scheduled to be released in Japan on January 10, 2020 has been announced to be postponed).
