Baidu's top ten movies of 2019 are released, The Wandering Earth and Nezha are included

Today (December 13), the fifth edition of Baidu Boiling Point's "Top Ten Movies of the Year" in 2019 was released, of which eight were domestic films. The ten most popular movies among Chinese netizens in 2019 are: "The Wandering Earth", "My People, My Country", "Nezha: The Devil Child Comes into the World", "Avengers 4", "The Captain", "More Than Blue", "Better Days", "Captain Marvel", "Speeding Life", and "Crazy Alien".

Since its release on the first day of the Chinese New Year in 2019, The Wandering Earth has been a hit at the box office and word of mouth. It has set new box office records in China, with a final box office of 4.654 billion yuan, second only to Wolf Warrior 2 (5.683 billion yuan), ranking second in the total box office list of Chinese film history, and was later surpassed by Ne Zha. Ne Zha: The Devil Child Comes into the World has a domestic box office of 4.97 billion yuan, topping the 2019 box office champion. This is the first time in the history of a domestic animated film that it has won the annual box office champion, and it has also become the highest-grossing animated film in a single market in the history of global film.

Only two foreign films were selected: "Avengers 4" and "Captain Marvel", with domestic box office revenues of 4.24 billion yuan and 1.03 billion yuan respectively. Marvel movies remain capable of making money.

The top 10 figures of the year were Yuan Longping, Tu Youyou, Lang Ping, Ren Zhengfei, Su Bingtian, Ke Jie, Canxue, Liangshan Forest Fire Brigade Xichang Brigade, Xie Zhenye, and Fu Guohao. The TV series of the year were "Knowing or Not Knowing Should Be Green, Fat, Red and Thin", "Ice Breaking Operation", "All Is Well", "The Untamed", "Dear, Beloved", "Eastern Palace", "The King's Avatar", "Young Pie", "Swagger", and "The Longest Day in Chang'an".
