The disaster film "28 Years Later" is scheduled to be released in North America on June 20 next year

Today (May 11), the sequel to the disaster film "28 Days Later" "28 Years Later" was officially scheduled to be released in North America on June 20 next year. The film stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell.

The IP plans to start a new trilogy series, with Danny Boyle, the director of 28 Days Later, returning to direct the first film, and Nia DaCosta (Captain Marvel 2, Candyman, Little Forest) in talks to direct the second film. Alex Garland, the screenwriter of 28 Days Later, returns to write the scripts for all three films, and the lead actor Cillian Murphy serves as the executive producer of the new trilogy together with Boyle, Garland and others.
