The movie Onmyoji 0 is scheduled to be released in mainland China on February 28, starring Kento Yamazaki and Shota Sometani, with participation from Masanobu Ando, ​​Nijiro Murakami, Hiroto Itagaki and Hayabusa Kunimura. The movie was released in Japan on April 19 last year.

The story is adapted from the mysterious novel of the same name by the famous Japanese fantasy writer Baku Yumemakura. The film is set in Heian-kyō where humans and demons coexisted a thousand years ago. It tells the story of Abe Haruaki, a genius Onmyoji and the strongest sorcerer of a thousand years, during his student days before he became an Onmyoji.

Kento Yamazaki plays Haruaki, Shota Sometani plays Haruaki's best friend Minamoto Hiromasa, and the film's special effects are produced by the team that won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects for "Godzilla 1.0".
