This may be the reason why "Venom" has low reputation and high box office

Looking back at the global movie box office market in 2018, in addition to Bohemian Rhapsody, which shone brightly during the award season, another typical example of a movie that still had a box office hit despite poor critical reviews was Venom. With a Rotten Tomatoes rating as low as 29%, it grossed $856 million worldwide and even helped Sony Pictures' profit increase by 30% year-on-year.

The reasons for the commercial success of Venom include the influence of the original comics and the personal charm of Tom Hardy, as well as the freshness of the character design of Venom and the battle at the end of the film. Of course, all aspects of a superhero movie need to be good, but the innovation of the action scenes obviously accounts for a large proportion.

In fact, in addition to the efforts of computer special effects engineers, this battle was quite realistic in the concept design stage. Today, I will share with you the creations of three concept artists, David Masson, Matt Millard and Paolo Giandoso.
