According to Weibo blogger @电影控控, the screenwriter of "Avengers 4" said in an interview that any character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may return in some way. It all depends on everyone's view of the multiverse and how Marvel will develop deceased characters.

However, based on Iron Man's death, it should not be easy for Thanos to return, otherwise Iron Man's sacrifice becomes meaningless. But there is still hope to see Thanos from the past timeline in the future.
