2019 Emmy Awards nominations announced, Game of Thrones breaks record with 32 nominations

Yesterday evening (July 16), the 2019 Emmy Awards nomination list was officially announced. Despite the controversial finale, HBO's epic fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" still won an astonishing 32 nominations in an unstoppable manner. Not only was it the most nominations this year, but it also set the Primetime Emmy Award record for "most nominations for a series in a single session."

It is reported that the nominations received by "Game of Thrones" this time include Best Drama Series nomination, Best Actor and Best Actress in a Drama Series nomination, 4 nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, 3 nominations for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, 3 nominations for Best Director in a Drama Series, and 1 nomination for Best Screenwriter.

In addition, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" ranked second with 20 nominations, followed by "Fosse & Verden", "Barry", and "When They See Us".

This time, HBO defeated Netflix with a total of 137 nominations. The Emmy Awards will be officially presented on September 22.
