'Popeye' author Morillo dies at 86

According to Taiwanese media reports, a spokesperson for Popeye author Guillermo Modillo confirmed that he died on the night of June 29 to 30 and his last stop was the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Guillermo Mordillo, a well-known Argentine cartoonist, died in the early morning of the 30th at the age of 86. Guillermo Mordillo's spokesman confirmed on July 1 that he died on the night of June 29 to 30, and his last stay was on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Guillermo Mordillo has loved painting since he was 3 or 4 years old, and has been focusing on this path. He has drawn comics, picture book illustrations, special effects movie pictures, and has also published his own works. In 1960, he joined Paramount Pictures and participated in the drawing of the cartoon "Popeye".

After leaving Paramount Pictures, Guillermo Modillo successfully promoted his works to the international market and won many comic awards. He especially liked comics without dialogues and created more than 2,000 such works in his lifetime, becoming a representative humor master in the eyes of the world.
