"The Current War" is a historical biographical film produced by Weinstein International Pictures, directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, and co-starred by Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult, Katherine Waterston, and Tom Holland. The film tells the story of the competition and confrontation between the two power giants, Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse, over direct current and alternating current during the Second Industrial Revolution.
