527 "Dragon Quest Day" The first 3DCG movie in the series is released

Today, May 27th, is known as "Dragon Quest Day", and the first 3DCG movie of Japan's national RPG, "Dragon Quest Stories", also released a large number of stills today to celebrate, and announced that it will hold its premiere on July 16th.

"Dragon Quest Stories" is based on "Dragon Quest 5: Bride of the Sky" released on the SFC platform in 1992. It is supervised by Yuji Horii, with Takashi Yamazaki as the chief director and screenwriter, Ryuichi Yagi and Makoto Hanafusa as supervisors, and Koichi Sugiyama as the music composer.

The film's voice cast includes Takeru Sato, Kasumi Arimura, Haru, Kentaro Sakaguchi, and Takashi Yamada. The film's character design does not follow the iconic Akira Toriyama style, but instead chooses a more popular animation style.

Dragon Quest Stories is tentatively scheduled to be released in Japan on August 2, 2019.
