Netflix releases new movie version of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

The new theatrical version of the popular sci-fi animation series "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Uemon" will be exclusively aired on Netflix today, May 10th. The latest theme song trailer was released at the same time. Let's enjoy it together.

The story background of "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" is that the world is driven by the waves of industrial revolution. When the world changes from the early modern times to the modern times, undead monsters suddenly appear. People bitten by them seem to be resurrected after dying once and begin to attack humans. After that, these monsters, called Kabane, proliferate explosively and cover the world.

The new theatrical version of "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Umimon" is directed by Tetsuro Araki, with series composition by Ichiro Okouchi, character design by Haruhiko Mikimoto, and the heroine "Mumei" is played by Ayaka Senbongi.
