Pikachu: A complete source of Detective Pikachu appears on YouTube

Pokemons and sneak peeks are a rampant problem in the film industry. Almost no film can escape the clutches of sneak peeks and leakers. Detective Pikachu is still two days away from release, and it should be time for the source of the film to be leaked, but the official tricks have taken the lead and played tricks on those who want to leak or watch sneak peeks.

Today (8), an account called "Inspector Pikachu" appeared on YouTube, which openly released a video titled "POKEMON Detective Pikachu: Full Picture". It has currently received 210,000 views, 55,000 likes and 4,039 comments.

The beauty of this video lies in that it uses the entire Warner Bros. title sequence and the 1-minute opening scene of the movie. In the upper left corner, there is a watermark of one of the leading actors, Ryan Reynolds (who also plays Deadpool). The 1 hour and 42 minutes long video is flawless. Only after the curious or indignant fans see the first minute will they realize that they have been fooled: the next 1 hour and 41 minutes are all Pikachu dancing cutely!

Even Ryan Reynolds' official Twitter account commented on the video, @ing the movie and Warner Bros. in a pretentious manner, saying "Look at this spoiler." This act of crying thief (if it wasn't arranged beforehand, this would probably have been directed and acted by Ryan himself) really impressed fans: You are really a marketing genius.

It is not known whether there is anyone who can watch Pikachu dance for nearly two hours on the screen, but with such a large number of views and spread of the "official sneak peek", if we only talk about YouTube, the real leaked video may be suppressed in terms of priority of dissemination. Warner's marketing is also unexpected and very creative.

"Detective Pikachu" will be released in China and North America on May 10th.
