Recently, a TV trailer for "Detective Pikachu" was released, and Gyarados made his stunning debut. Compared with the animation image, the restoration was very realistic. "Detective Pikachu" is set in a surreal real-life society where humans and Pokémon coexist. It tells the story of an ace private detective who goes missing and his 21-year-old son begins to look for the truth with the help of the detective's former assistant Pikachu. Along the way, they encounter all kinds of Pokémon and discover a shocking truth that is likely to destroy the peaceful coexistence of humans and Pokémon and threaten the entire Pokémon world.

The film is directed by Rob Letterman, the director of Gulliver's Travels and Goosebumps. Ryan Reynolds voices Pikachu, Justice Smith plays the son of the missing detective, and Ken Watanabe and Bill Nighy also lend their voices. The film is scheduled to be released in North America on May 10, 2019.
