"The King of Comedy 2" is reportedly finished, produced by Stephen Chow, and will be released during the Spring Festival

A blogger named "Zhou Xingchi Tieba" on Weibo announced that Stephen Chow's latest film was officially completed on November 26 and is expected to meet the audience during the 2019 Spring Festival. At present, the films that have been scheduled for release on February 5, 2019 (the first day of the Lunar New Year) include "Flying Life", "Integrity", "Crazy Alien", "Boonie Bears: The Wild Bunch" and many other commercial blockbusters.

As for which specific movie Stephen Chow is shooting, a netizen broke the news: "The title may not be "The King of Comedy 2", but "Project D", because the protagonist has been replaced by Wang Baoqiang. We have to wait for the official announcement."

According to previous reports, Stephen Chow has produced a new film, The King of Comedy 2, which is expected to be released during the 2019 Spring Festival. This is because the post-production of The Mermaid 2, which he directed before, was too long and could not catch up with the release date of February 5, 2019. The director of The King of Comedy 2 (or Plan D) is Herman Yau, starring Wang Baoqiang and Lin Yun.
