"Mulan" starring Donnie Yen and Gong Li share intimate photo

On the evening of November 8, Donnie Yen, the leading actor of Disney's live-action version of "Mulan", posted a photo with Gong Li on Weibo and said: "I am very happy to work with the beautiful and noble queen of queens Gong Li for the first time!" It is reported that in the live-action version of "Mulan", Donnie Yen plays Mulan's mentor Commander Tung, and Gong Li will also play the villain.

Both of them are familiar faces in Hollywood. Donnie Yen previously played the role of the blind monk in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and received rave reviews. Last year, Donnie Yen also starred in the blockbuster xXx: Return of Xander Cage starring Vin Diesel. Gong Li once starred in the Japanese-themed film Memoirs of a Geisha, which was shot in Hollywood. She was most active in Hollywood from 2005 to 2010, starring in Miami Vice, The Sting, and Hannibal Rising.

It is reported that "Mulan" is currently under intense filming, starring Chinese actors such as Liu Yifei, An Yousen, Jet Li, Gong Li, Donnie Yen, and Cheng Peipei, and directed by Hollywood director Niki Caro. The film is scheduled to be released in North America on March 27, 2020.
