Paramount: "Sonic the Hedgehog 4" movie will be released in North America in March 2027

Paramount announced that the "Sonic the Hedgehog 4" movie will be released in North America on March 19, 2027.

According to Variety, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which was released last December, is now officially the highest-grossing film in the franchise, having grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.

"Sonic the Hedgehog 1" was released in February 2020, with a North American box office of 148 million US dollars, but the global box office was as high as 319.7 million US dollars.

"Sonic the Hedgehog 2" was released in April 2022, with a North American box office of 148 million US dollars and a global cumulative total of 319 million US dollars.

As of now, "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" has grossed $218 million in North America and $422 million worldwide.

Additionally, the series earned $180 million from home entertainment rentals and digital purchases.

The first three films were directed by Jeff Fowler, with Jim Carrey playing Dr. Eggman and Ben Schwartz voicing Sonic. Jim Carrey has expressed his willingness to return for Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
