HBO's The Last of Us Season 2 is scheduled to be released in 2025

Earlier this month, it was reported that production on HBO's The Last of Us Season 2 had been put on hold due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike. In an interview with Deadline, HBO's script supervisor Francesca Orsi discussed the topic, noting that HBO had previously set the series for a 2025 launch.

In addition, Francesca Orsi also said that the launch date of the series will depend on when the writers' strike ends. She even admitted: "If the strike lasts for six to nine months, I don't think those shows will necessarily be ready to air."
