Sonic the Hedgehog 3 screenwriter reveals that the fat cat Piccolo may appear in the sequel

With the release of the movie "Sonic the Hedgehog 3", classic characters from the game, such as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow, have appeared one by one, and Amy Rose also appeared in the Easter egg at the end of the film. But there are still some fans who expect other characters in the game to appear in the movie, such as the fat cat Piccolo.

Recently, in an interview with foreign media "GamesRadar+", Pat Casey, one of the screenwriters of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3", revealed that the character may appear in the sequel of the movie in the future.

Casey mentioned: "We've thought about a lot of characters, and those that haven't appeared may not appear. You know, like how do we make Silver? How do we make Big the Cat? That's the most important thing. But that's for the future, so we'll have to wait and see."

Another writer, Josh Miller, said: "But which character do I want to see the most? My answer may not be a joke... At some point, we have to let the fat cat Piccolo appear there in some way. I like to imagine what he looks like in the Sonic movie."

In addition, in an interview with IGN, the two screenwriters also revealed that in fact, as early as in the movie "Sonic the Hedgehog 2", they designed and produced a scene in which Sonic was walking through a cave and was frightened (including scaring the audience) by the sudden appearance of the skeleton of the fat cat Piccolo. However, after considering the idea that the skeleton did not necessarily have to be the fat cat Piccolo, they finally deleted this scene on the grounds that "it was meaningless."
