Beat yourself "The Journey of Bell Buds" surpasses "Your Name" in box office

Sina Film reported today (April 4) that Makoto Shinkai's "The Journey of Bell and Bud" has exceeded 575 million yuan in real-time box office, surpassing the total box office of "Your Name" released in 2016, becoming the number one Japanese animated film in Chinese film history.

"Suzuya's Journey" is an animated film directed and written by Makoto Shinkai and produced by CoMix Wave Films. It will be released in Japan on November 11, 2022, and in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, China on March 2, 2023, and in mainland China on March 24, 2023.

The film tells the story of a 17-year-old girl named Suzuya who meets the "door-closer" Souta, and their adventure story of closing the door to the source of the disaster.
