HBO in talks with Warner Bros. to make Harry Potter series

According to foreign media sources, HBO Max and Warner Bros. have officially entered into negotiations to adapt JK Rowling's "Harry Potter" TV series. The series plans to adapt a novel per season.

However, IGN's sources clarified that Warner Bros. is "nowhere close to a deal" and the project is still under negotiation. If a deal is reached, the show will not be a spin-off like "Fantastic Beasts", but a direct adaptation of the "Harry Potter" novel. Rowling will play a certain role in the creation of the show, but will not be the main creator and operator. The series is expected to be broadcast on the streaming media HBO Max.
