According to Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios executive Victoria Alonso has left the company on March 17 local time. The media cited multiple unnamed sources and said that the reason for her exit is "still uncertain". Alonso has been with Marvel Studios and the MCU since its inception and has been with the company for 20 years. She joined Marvel in 2006 as a visual effects and post-production supervisor, and in 2008 she was an associate producer on Iron Man, and in 2021 she became the production supervisor of physics, post-production, visual effects, and animation. The Hollywood Reporter noted that while it may not be related, Alonso's departure comes on the heels of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania being poorly received at the box office, by critics, and by fans. The film currently has a 47% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with an average rating of 5.6 out of 10. |
