Haley Haley to return as Agent Carter in Avengers 5

According to Deadline, Hayley Atwell will return to "Avengers 5: Doomsday" and will continue to play Peggy Carter. This is her ninth appearance in the MCU as a different version of the character since 2011.

According to Deadline, the star, who has played important roles in the "Captain America" ​​movies and Disney+ spin-offs such as "What If...?", is expected to return in the 2026 superhero crossover movie "Avengers 5".

How the film will reintroduce the character remains to be seen, but as the MCU continues to experiment with multiverse storylines in projects like Deadpool 3, anything is possible.

In addition to playing Agent Carter in early Marvel films, Atwell has made cameos in films such as Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Avengers: Endgame. In 2015, she also led the Marvel series with her own TV series, Agent Carter.

Deadline added that she almost starred in a standalone film with Captain America star Chris Evans, but the plans fell through when Marvel was unable to create a complete story.

Currently, Avengers 5 is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2026. It will be followed by Spider-Man 4 on July 24, 2026, and Avengers 6: Secret War will be released a year later on May 7, 2027.
