"Slam Dunk" surpasses "Your Name" to top the Korean box office

Today, March 5, the latest data from the Korean Film Development Council showed that the new animated film "Slam Dunk" "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" had over 3.81 million viewers in South Korea, surpassing "Your Name" to top the Korean box office in Japanese history.

The movie "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" was written and directed by the original author Takehiko Inoue, produced by Toei Animation, and composed by Takebe Satoshi and 10-FEET. It was released in Japan on December 3 and landed in Korean theaters on January 4, quickly topping the box office charts for 12 consecutive days. It also led to a boom in the sales of the comic version, sparking discussions about the improvement of South Korea-Japan relations.
