Bob Iger, who returned to serve as Disney's CEO, said earlier that Disney needs to better manage the output of IP content, hoping to focus on the quality on the screen while also paying attention to controlling their costs.

Kevin Feige also clarified the change in direction of Marvel series in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. The pace of the fifth and sixth phases of the MCU series will be adjusted, the number of series released each year will be reduced, and the broadcast intervals will be longer.

Last year, Marvel Studios planned to release series including "Secret Invasion", "What If...? Season 2", "Loki Season 2", "Echoes", "Heart of Steel" and "Agatha: Chaos Coven" on Disney+ in 2023. According to foreign media "The Hollywood Reporter", only two series, "Secret Invasion" and "Loki Season 2", will be released this year.

"Echo" and "Heart of Steel", which were completed a few months ago, may not be launched this year. Marvel Pictures hopes to have a longer broadcast interval and make some adjustments in post-production. For some new dramas under development, such as "Rising Star", the production will also slow down now.

Marvel Studios has launched a total of 18 movies and TV series in the fourth phase (including 4 movies and 5 TV series in 2021, 3 movies and 3 TV series in 2022, and some special episodes), which is a huge number.

Industry insiders said that Disney's move was a "large-scale adjustment" to the entertainment industry's strategy of continuously spending money on streaming media in recent years and trying to win by quantity.
