Tomb Raider TV series in the works for Amazon

According to foreign media reports, the Tomb Raider TV series is in the early stages of production and will be released on Amazon. It is worth mentioning that the new Tomb Raider game will also be released by Amazon.

The report states that the Tomb Raider TV series will be written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Killing Eve, Fleabag). Bridge has renewed her contract with Amazon for another three years, and in addition to the Tomb Raider series, she is also writing scripts for several other projects.

Considering that the new "Tomb Raider" game is published by Amazon, rather than by the developer Crystal Dynamics' parent company Embracer, foreign media speculated that the "Tomb Raider" TV series may be related to the new "Tomb Raider" game.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the female lead of the "Tomb Raider" TV series has not yet been confirmed, and Waller-Bridge, who is the screenwriter, will not play any role.
