Arya from Game of Thrones was originally cast as Ellie in the movie version of The Last of Us

The live-action TV series "The Last of Us" co-produced by Sony and HBO is about to be broadcast. Recently, Neil Druckmann, the boss of Naughty Dog Studio, revealed some new information about the TV series adapted from "The Last of Us" and the canceled movie of the same name in an interview with foreign media, especially about the casting of the heroine Ellie.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Neil Druckmann revealed that when "The Last of Us" was adapted into a movie, they considered using Maisie Williams, who played "Arya" in the "Game of Thrones" series.

As early as 2014, Maisie Williams had publicly expressed her desire to play Ellie, but the film was eventually turned into an HBO TV series, and the role of Ellie was also played by Bella Ramsey from Game of Thrones. In addition, Kaitlyn Dever also auditioned for the role of Ellie, but when the TV series was filmed, the two were not selected because their ages were not suitable for the roles.

The live-action TV series "The Last of Us" will premiere on January 15th.
