James Marsden, who plays Ted in the American TV series "Westworld," feels the same way fans feel about the series being cancelled: he's very disappointed. He recently opened up about his thoughts on the fate of the HBO series and even hopes that there will be a way to finish it in the future. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Marsden expressed his sadness over Westworld being cancelled after Season 4. "I would be lying to myself if I told you that the way we ended Westworld wasn't disappointing," he said. "I will always speak of any experience I've had [on the show] with gratitude, but it would have been nice to be able to tell the story that we wanted to finish." The character Teddy was a regular character in the first two seasons of the series, then he was absent in the third season and returned in the fourth season. HBO cancelled Westworld in November 2022, meaning the series' final season will never air. To make matters even more sad for fans, Warner Bros. Discovery also removed the series from its streaming platform HBO Max. Marsden understands the commercial reasons behind Westworld's cancellation, but remains hopeful that the series will continue somewhere else in the future: "I completely understand that this is an expensive series, and a big series has to have a big audience to be worth the expense. I just hope it's not just for commercial success." |
