The movie Avatar 2 is almost going to make its money back

Avatar 2 led the U.S. New Year's weekend with $63.4 million in box office revenue, up 2% from the previous weekend. It is expected that Avatar 2 will generate $82.4 million in domestic box office revenue during the four-day holiday.

As of now, "Avatar 2" has grossed $421.6 million in the United States and $956.9 million overseas, for a total of $1.38 billion worldwide.

However, according to sources, "Avatar 2" will need $1.4 billion to break even, so the movie "Avatar 2" has not actually broken even yet, although it seems that it will soon exceed this figure.

Currently, "Avatar 2" is the 15th highest-grossing movie in film history, second only to "Black Panther" but surpassing "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2".

In the North American New Year weekend box office chart, Marvel Studios' "Black Panther 2" took third place, earning $4.8 million over the past weekend and an estimated $6.5 million over the four-day holiday. "Black Panther 2" grossed $438 million in the United States and a total of $818 million.
