New animation of Urusei Yatsura reveals multiple characters, to be aired on October 13

The new animation of the classic manga masterpiece "Urusei Yatsura" will be aired on October 13. Today, on September 22, the official announced the voice actors of many characters. Let’s take a look.

•Urusei Yatsura is the representative work of Japanese cartoonist Rumiko Takahashi and her first full-length work. The cartoon was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1978 to 1987 and won the 26th Shogakukan Manga Award and the 18th Nebula Award (1987).

•Urusei Yatsura is not only the masterpiece that made Rumiko Takahashi famous, but also a milestone in the history of Japanese animation. The unrestrained imagination in the play is amazing. Takahashi not only gradually formed her own signature humorous style during the serialization of Urusei, but also made great progress in her painting skills and style.

•The voice actors of the new characters announced this time include: Onsen Mark, the English teacher of Tobiki High School, will be played by Kenta Miyake, Sakura’s fiancé Ozuno Tsubame will be played by Takahiro Sakurai, Mendou Sotaro’s sister Mendou Ryoko will be played by Marina Inoue, and there is currently no voice actor for the giant monster cat Dendenko, so stay tuned.
