The grand legendary story of the Second Age of Middle-earth begins, telling the origin of the "Power of the Rings" before the "One Ring". It will be aired on September 2, soon. The first season of the series has 8 episodes, with a budget of up to 465 million US dollars, known as the "most expensive American TV series in history". It is directed by J.A. Bayona ("Jurassic World 2" and "The Impossible") and operated by John D. Payne & Patrick McKay ("Star Trek 3").

The plot synopsis is: "For the first time in film and television, the heroic legends of the legendary Second Age of Middle-earth will be presented.
