The Gran Turismo movie is expected to be released on August 11, 2023. It is based on a true story.

According to a report on Deadline, Sony's "GT Racing" movie will be released on August 11, 2023. It will be directed by "District 9" director Neill Blomkamp and produced by Columbia Pictures. Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, Doug Belgrad and Dana Brunetti of PlayStation Productions will serve as producers.

Deadline also revealed the story synopsis of the film, which is based on a true story. The plot revolves around a young "GT Racing" player who uses his gaming skills to win a series of competitions and eventually becomes a real professional racing driver.

In Deadline's initial report, the film was still in the early stages of production.
