The Walking Dead spin-off Tales from the Walking Dead release date and stills announced

According to The Wrap, AMC's six-episode anthology series "The Walking Dead" will premiere on August 14, with one episode premiering on TV and the first two episodes going online on AMC+ that night. In addition, The Wrap has released the first set of stills.

Tales of the Walking Dead will tell standalone stories "focusing on both new and established characters from the apocalypse". In February, it was announced that some of these new characters would be played by actors Terry Crews, Olivia Munn, Parker Posey, Jillian Bell, Anthony Edwards, and Poppy Liu. Samantha Morton's villain Alpha, now known as "Dee", will be one of the returning established characters.
