Aniplex announces joint venture with Shueisha and others to establish a new animation company JOEN

Aniplex, an old animation studio under Sony Music Entertainment, announced today on May 30 that it will jointly establish a new animation company JOEN with industry giants such as Shueisha, its CloverWorks, and WIT STUDIO. •Aniplex Co., Ltd., whose official Chinese name is "Aniplex", is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment of Japan, whose main business is the planning, production and sales of animation works. It is also a formal member of the Japan Animation Association. On April 19, 2019, "Aniplex (Shanghai) Culture and Art Co., Ltd." was established in Shanghai, China.

•JOEN officials stated that after the establishment of the new company, it will own more copyrights of well-known animation IPs and industry resources.
