Dwayne Johnson to star in live-action film It Takes Two

In January this year, game developer Hazlight officially announced that they were working with DJ2 Entertainment, the production company behind the "Sonic the Hedgehog" movie, to adapt the "It Takes Two" game into a movie and TV series.

According to a recent report by foreign media Variety, Seven Bucks Productions, the studio behind "Jungle Cruise" and "Jumanji", and Amazon Studios have joined the "It Takes Two" film and television project.

Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia will produce the film on behalf of Seven Bucks, and Dwayne Johnson will also star in the film.

"It Takes Two" was released by EA in March 2021. As of now, this cooperative adventure game has sold more than 5 million copies and won many high-profile awards including "Game of the Year".

Game version plot

Cody and May are a couple whose relationship has broken down and they are about to divorce. They tell their daughter Rose about their divorce. Rose hides in the hut with her own dolls made in the shape of her parents, trying to reconcile the two by playing house. May and Cody are trapped in the dolls because their daughter's tears drip on them. In order to return to their daughter, the two embark on an adventure of mutual dependence under the guidance of Dr. Hakim, the book of love.
