John Cena, the star of "Peacemaker", tweeted to confirm that "Peacemaker" will be filming Season 2. The first season was a great success on HBO Max and has quietly become one of the most watched shows in 2022.

The good news is that James Gunn will return to direct and write season 2, and John Cena will reprise his role as Christopher Smith.

HBO publicly praised the show’s social media presence, announcing it as the “number one original new streaming series by social engagement on Twitter,” which is pretty impressive considering Peacemaker aired simultaneously with a new Star Wars series.
